Somerville is ready for St. Patrick’s Day this year.

On Friday, Ward Five Alderman Sean O’Donovan kicked things off with an old fashioned St. Patrick’s Day bash at the Armory. Over the weekend the Race of Ireland run filled Somerville streets with long distance runners who enjoyed refreshments at local pubs after crossing the finish line.

And coming up this week is the Irish Film Festival.

It all adds up to some much needed time away from the problems of the world and some escapist fun. So take part if you haven’t already.
