On Friday, April 12, 2024 at approximately 6:31 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Alston St for reports of shots fired and a vehicle crash.
Upon arrival officers located a juvenile suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound who was then transported to the hospital. Nearby, officers located an unoccupied vehicle that was flipped over and a firearm was recovered.
Preliminary investigation indicates that occupants of the vehicle were shooting at a group of pedestrians before crashing and then fleeing the scene. A nearby residence sustained ballistic damage from stray bullets but there were no other injuries.
