Arrests:

Nadine Buckley, July 17, arrested on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

Remington Polonia, July 18, arrested on charges of attempt to commit a crime and malicious defacement of property.

Marvin Amaya, July 19, arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Jose Miguel-Melgar, July 21, arrested on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Shots Fired
On 7/19/23 at approximately 10:40 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Howe St. for report of two shots fired. Upon arrival, officers reviewed surveillance footage which showed a motorcycle, a pickup truck and a four-door sedan traveling at a high rate of speed. No ballistic evidence was recovered. Investigation is ongoing.
 
Robbery
On 7/19/23 at approximately 8:00 a.m., Somerville Police responded to 105 Bromfield Rd. for report of a past larceny. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated the night prior while walking home from Davis Sq, he was shoved to the ground and his backpack was stolen. The backpack contained cash, a wallet and a phone. The victim did not see the suspect as his glasses were knocked off.
 
Commercial Breaking and Entering
 On 7/20/23 at approximately 9:19 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Mystic Valley Pkwy. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated the lock was pried off his son’s storage unit and a bicycle was stolen.
 
Assault
On 7/23/23 at approximately 3:16 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a multifamily residence on Perkins St. for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers observed blood in the hallway but did not locate a victim inside. Shortly after, officers located the victim on Broadway. The victim stated he was walking out of his apartment and began talking to a female resident. While talking to her, a male party related to the female approached the victim and began striking him with a broom. The suspect then brandished a knife and motioned with it toward the victim.
 
Residential Breaking and Entering
On 7/21/23 at approximately 10:14 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Tremont St. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he left his home earlier in the night and when he returned, noticed his apartment was tampered with and several items were missing.
 
Residential Breaking and Entering
On 7/22/23 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Puritan Rd. for report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she heard footsteps coming from the first floor. Officers conducted a walkthrough of the apartment but no one was located.
 
Assault
On 7/23/23 at approximately 12:16 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business in Davis Sq. for report of a dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with reporting party who stated a female party became upset and began throwing glasses at employees striking one in the face. Officers identified the female suspect.
 
Arrest
On 7/21/23 at approximately 3:58 p.m, Somerville Police responded to 115 Broadway for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was sitting with friends and a male party known to him approached him and his friends then brandished a box cutter. Officers located the suspect and he was placed under arrest.
