Somerville Police Crime Log May 9 – May 19

Arrests:

 Kristyn McLean, May 16, 9:15 p.m., arrested at Elm St. on warrant charges of shoplifting by asportation, attempt to commit a crime, larceny by check over $1200, malicious wanton defacement of property, possession of a burglarious instrument, possession of a class B drug, and removal of theft prevention device.

Angel Fletcher, of Boston, May 16, 10:30 p.m., arrested at Bicknell St., Boston, on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon.

Kenneth Happas, May 19, 12:17 p.m., arrested at Wellington Ave. on warrant charges of larceny from a building, assault with a dangerous weapon, and unarmed robbery.

Assault
On 5/11/23 at approximately 3:31 p.m, Somerville Police responded to 115 Broadway for report of a fight involving juveniles. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a juvenile male who stated he and another juvenile male engaged in a fight after school.
 
Armed Robbery
On 5/13/23 at approximately 12:29 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business in the area of Broadway & Dartmouth St for report of an armed robbery with a firearm. Upon arrival, officers observed the front door open and the store ransacked. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed a male party filling up his jacket with cash, lottery tickets, cigarettes and other various items. Officers spoke with an employee who stated the suspect mentioned he had a firearm but did not show one.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 5/15/23 at approximately 7:38 p.m, Somerville Police responded to a residence on Foley St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victims who stated they were on vacation and when they returned, they noticed a light had been moved from where it was originally placed.
 
Robbery
On 5/15/23 at approximately 7:49 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Mystic Ave for report of a male party harassing people. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the manager who stated a male party stole money out of the tip jar. The cashier tried to stop him and the male party shoved her hand away causing her to get injured. Officers located and identified the suspect.
 
Arrest
On 5/14/23 at approximately 1:46 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Middlesex Ave for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the defendant who stated he observed a male party breaking into his vehicle. The defendant then attacked the male party causing him to suffer multiple injuries and lose consciousness. The defendant was then placed into custody.
