Somerville Police Log Jan. 1 to Jan. 10

Assault
On 1/9/23 at approximately 7:47 p.m., a female party entered the station and reported that she was victim of an assault on the morning of 1/8/23. The victim stated she left Encore Casino and was followed by another vehicle. When the victim stopped at a light, a male and female exited the other vehicle and the female party threw her onto the ground and kicked her. As the victim tried to get up, the male party pushed her back to the ground. The female party then vandalized the victim’s vehicle.

Assault
On 1/8/23 at approximately 2:17 a.m., Somerville Police took a lobby report from a male party who stated while at a bar on Somerville Ave, he was punched in the face by another male. The victim suffered injuries to his nose and mouth. Officers identified the suspect.
 
Assault
On 1/6/23 at approximately 7:35 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a business at 14 McGrath Hwy for report of an injured party in the restroom. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while parking his car, a male party operating another vehicle began beeping his horn. The male party then pepper sprayed the victim.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 1/12/23 at approximately 2:28 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a multifamily residence on Granite St for report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with a property manager who stated an evicted tenant was inside one the apartments. Officers entered the apartment and located the suspect inside.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 1/11/23 at approximately 10:18 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Gilman Ter for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated she was checking on the house while the homeowner was in the hospital and noticed four TV’s had been stolen. Officers observed a rear door had been forced open.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 1/9/23 at approximately 8:59 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Woodbine St for report of a man breaking the front window of a house. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he heard a noise downstairs then observed his kitchen window ripped open. Officers reviewed surveillance footage and observed a male party throw an object at the window then ripping it open before walking away.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 1/6/23 at approximately 10:21 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Cross St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated on 12/31/22, a male party entered the garage and stole a bicycle.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 1/5/23 at approximately 6:12 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Powder House Blvd for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the homeowner who stated she received a call from a tenant reporting that someone broke into the house. Officers observed multiple items tossed around. Nothing was reported missing.
 
Robbery
On 1/3/22 at approximately 9:29 p.m., Somerville Police responded to the area of Highland Ave & Crocker St for report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated a male party approached him then said he had a gun and demanded money. The victim gave the suspect $60 cash and the suspect fled toward Hudson St. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’11, stocky build and wearing a black mask and gray jacket with a hood.
