Somerville Police Crime Log Dec. 21 – Jan. 3

Assault
On 12/21/22 at approximately 7:27 p.m, Somerville Police responded to a business on Columbia St for report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she was assaulted by her co-worker following an altercation.

Residential Breaking & Entering
On 12/22/22 at approximately 6:19 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a residence on Main St for report of a breaking and entering in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated she observed a male party quietly walking around the apartment. Officers observed a screen to a back porch window on the roof. Nothing was reported stolen.
 
Assault
On 12/25/22 at approximately 1:39 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business on Elm St for report of a person refusing to leave. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was involved in a confrontation with two males. During the confrontation, one of the males assaulted the victim. The suspect was described as a black male, with dreadlocks, roughly 5’11” and wearing a brown coat.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 12/28/22 at approximately 4:39 p.m., Somerville Police took a report of a residential breaking and entering on Lowell St. The victim stated the padlock on his garage was broken as well as the front door lock on his house. Nothing was missing.
 
Robbery
On 12/30/22 at approximately 6:26 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a business in the area of Broadway & Grant St for report of an armed robbery involving a gun. Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee who stated a male party entered the store then brandished a gun at the clerk and demanded money. He was described as wearing a black jacket, gray sweater, a gray mask, white gloves, blue jeans, construction boots and carrying a black and yellow Dewalt construction bag. He spoke Portuguese.
 
Residential Breaking & Entering
On 1/1/23 at approximately 12:00 AM, Somerville Police responded to Boston Ave for report of a male party who made suicidal statements. Officers searched the area and could not locate the male party. Shortly after, another call came in for a breaking and entering in progress at a residence on Bay St. Officers responded and located the male party on the front porch. He was transported to the hospital.
 
Assault
On 1/2/23 at approximately 4:09 p.m., Somerville Police responded to Davis Sq for report of a past assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was struck by a bicycle. The suspect was described as a white male, around 50, grey hair, wearing all black and riding a black and red bike
