Round and round we go

Maneuvering through the Powder House rotary took some time to figure out. I asked our readers to share their thoughts and opinions regarding the new traffic pattern. Wow! It’s sure different. No lights and one shop sign.

“Drove through there a few weeks ago when I came down for a visit, and I felt like I was in a pinball machine lol and all those X’s and weird lines all over the roads. I didn’t have any idea what they were meant for.”

“A lot better than it was. There is at least some guidance now and I feel a lot more comfortable when I approach that circle.”

“It’s the worst system I have ever seen! Accidents waiting to happen!

“Whoever designed it knows nothing about driving!”

“It’s frightening. I’m never sure those with the yield sign will yield. At least before there was a definitive stop before entering rotary.”

“Can we dumb it down any further so we morons stay in the lanes? felt like a rat in a maze. Ridiculous.”

“It was clearly designed for people who do not know how to use rotaries.”

“Why??? Cuz the one they’ve had forever stopped working??? Get rid of the damn cones things.”

“Ridiculous, if you need that much guidance you shouldn’t be driving.”

“Drove through Powder House rotary for 60 years without little white soldiers guiding my path. Lucky to be alive, I guess!”

“Stupidity at its best!!”

“There’s now only one stop sign at the rotary. All you have to do is follow the directions and yield to pedestrians.”

Hopefully motorists will yield when they are supposed to. If you drive today, you have a lot to take in so I try to be patient and pay attention. I realize that traffic maneuvering is easier when you simply stay in your lane.

So many poor drivers telling on themselves here. 😝

If you find it confusing, maybe you’re not cut out for driving in the city.
