Somerville Police officers were dispatched to a Highland Ave. location in the early morning of last Sunday on a report of a suspicious person.

Upon arrival, the officers were met by the reporting party who told them that a man was asleep in her vehicle which was parked in the driveway of her residence.

The suspect, later identified as Alexander Terry, of Hopkinton, was found asleep in the rear seats of the vehicle.

When asked what he was doing in the vehicle, Terry reportedly replied that he was sleeping. He also stated he believed he was at home, located on School St. in Somerville.

When speaking to the reporting party, she stated that she was leaving her house for work and opened the passenger side door to place her belongings inside and heard someone snoring. She looked into the back seat area of the vehicle and saw Terry sleeping there.

The reporting party told the officers that she was afraid of the man in the back of her vehicle and slammed the door shut. She also stated that there was no additional damage to the vehicle and that nothing of value was taken.

Terry was placed under arrest on a charge of misdemeanor breaking and entering and was transported back to the Somerville Police Department for booking.
