I went with a friend to a reception for “Space<—>Color<–>Movement: From Lyrical Realism into Poetic Abstraction” at the Brickbottom Artists Association, Inc. Gallery, Somerville, MA.  And indeed, I saw the poetry in the paintings both in the abstract and in the realistic renderings. This show is curated by artist Philip Gerstein, and included works by Alexandra Rozenman, Jo Ann Rothschild, and Gerstein.  The show runs at the Brickbottom Gallery through February 26.
