The first @blackownedbos pop-up of 2022 arrives at Bow Market

On February 4, 2022, in Latest News, by The Somerville Times

Imani and her daughter Delmeshia invite you to come and check out their line of luxury head wraps at their Bow Market pop-up location now until March 2022.

In 2006, after working at a Boylston St. firm, @tafariwraps founder Imani desired to heal herself and her community and founded the design house House of Tafari Collection.

Imani toured the libraries in Boston and New York, local YMCAs, medical centers and community clinics, and colleges from Boston to Georgia sharing Tafari Wraps and the art of head wrapping. In 2017, Imani was joined by her daughter Delmeshia and the two run @tafariwraps today.

Tafari Wraps is a design house offering luxury head wraps and hair accessories as a non-invasive beauty solution, home décor, apparel, and immersive educational workshops honoring African culture. The goal is to uplift and restore dignity through bold, vibrant designs showcasing African textiles.

Imani and Delmeshia of @tafariwraps want customers to feel the warmth and creativity of Black people, the healing offered by bold colors and the love stitched into their home décor and hair accessories. They are excited to carry a rare collection of African textiles from Nigeria and Ghana. Either hand dyed, hand woven or hand stamped, these tapestries are true works of art. Come see all of their beautiful products at Bow until March.

On Wednesdays, @tafariwraps is offering headwrap tutorials by appointment at their Bow pop-up. Just send us an email info@tafariwraps.com to book your experience with Imani.

Bow Market is located at 1 Bow Market Way in Somerville.
