The final SomerStreets of 2021 Monster Mashed-Up takes place Sunday, October 31, outside of Union Square on Somerville Ave. between Hawkins St. to Park St. 

Get ready for festive, spooky and down-right groovy fun with our eclectic array of activities and two stages of music. One stage will be a partnership with School of Rock and another stage curated by “PorchFest Staff Picks.”

 

Featured Activities:

• Dust off those bellbottoms and bring your skates for a RollerSkating Disco Party Spooktakular with DJ Brother Cleve

• Get into the spirit of the day with Halloween costume parade led by School of Honk! Bring your costume and your groove

• Face Painting by Flor Delgadillo

• Dia de los Muertos Celebration. Activities with Andrea and Angelica Menchaca and food with Nibble Kitchen’s Estela Calzada

• Boston Hoop Troop and Fairy Roamers

• Amazing acrobatics, handstands, juggling, and comedy for all ages with Cate the Great

• Magician, Just Felice

• Find your balance with Parkour Generations

• Interactive activities by Somerville Recreation

• Ghosts of Somerville Tour with the Somerville Historic Preservation Commission and so much more

SomerStreets is the City of Somerville’s take on the internationally-renowned Open Streets concept, closing busy city streets to vehicles, and opening them up for cycling, walking, dancing, running, and other modes of activity. Through SomerStreets, the City and its community partners aim to promote and encourage easy access to physical activity, and reconnecting with neighborhoods and businesses and their unique cultural elements in a thriving urban environment.
