FOUND: Missing Somerville woman found

Update: The Somerville Police Department has located a missing elderly woman from Somerville with a history of dementia. Edna Iglesias, 84, was found by officers acting on information from Ms. Iglesias’s social worker regarding locations to where she may have headed. She appeared to be in good condition, but due to the cold temperatures, she will be evaluated by medical professionals for any potential effects of the cold exposure.

On Monday, September 21: The Somerville Police Department is seeking a missing elderly woman from Somerville with a history of dementia. Edna Iglesias, 84, was last seen on security camera video leaving her residence at the Somerville VNA on Lowell Street at 2:37 p.m. today, Monday, September 21. She was wearing a black sweatshirt, or tracksuit style jacket, with a single white stripe on the arms and blue jeans. She was also using a black cane. A report was received that she may have boarded the Number 90 MBTA bus in Somerville in an unknown direction. SPD is in the process of issuing a silver alert. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Somerville Police at 617-625-1212 ext. 7253.
