Police on Monday responded to reports of fireworks being set off from a moving vehicle in the Port area of Cambridge.

After stopping the car, the alleged offender, an unidentified 18-year-old, was relieved of the fireworks, which are illegal to possess, sell or use in Massachusetts.

The teen has been issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.
