The Ward 4 ResiStat meeting was held last Wednesday evening at the Healey School in Winter Hill.

About 60 to 70 residents showed up to hear Mayor Joe Curtatone and his administration talk about what is going on in Winter Hill.

Chief of Police David Fallon talked about crime in Winter Hill and what the police department has been doing over all in the city.

The mayor talked about various projects in the area and citywide that are in progress.

Questions by some in the community focused on the former Star Market site and what might be happening there. Right now the city is in litigation with the owners and hopefully something will happen soon.

The Green Line at Gilman and its progress was discussed. The mayor talked about more green areas in Winter Hill, and mentioned Sewall Street.

The city has been conducting these ResiStat meetings twice a year in every ward. It is a great way to communicate on a local level what is going on in each Ward. This week’s scheduled meetings are:

Ward 2 (S. Union Sq., Perry and Lincoln Park neighborhoods, Beacon St. area): Wed., Oct. 4, Argenziano School, 290 Washington St.

Ward 3 (N. Union Sq., Prospect Hill, Spring Hill, Central Hill): Thurs., Oct. 5, Somerville High School cafeteria, 81 Highland Ave. (Use the Field House doors for an accessible entrance.)
