Arts at the Armory Spotlight Series Presents Tourmaline May 28, 2026

Tourmaline comes to Arts at the Armory on Thursday, May 28 for an evening of art, storytelling, and community connection.

A Guggenheim Fellow, TIME100 Honoree, artist, filmmaker, and bestselling author, Tourmaline will discuss her acclaimed book Marsha—the definitive biography of revolutionary trans activist Marsha P. Johnson. Following the talk, Tourmaline will participate in abook signing, with copies available from Harvard Book Store.

We’re also excited to welcome a number oflocal community organizations who will be tabling throughout the evening, creating opportunities for audiences to connect with advocacy groups, artists, organizers, and local programming from across Greater Boston.

Community partners include:

  • The Dance Complex

  • Mutual Aid is Magic

The evening will open with a performance by local DJ and drag queen Tara Dikhof, whose work has become a vibrant part of the region’s queer nightlife and arts community.

As an independent nonprofit arts venue, we’re proud to present events that bring togetherartists, audiences, and community partners in meaningful ways, and we hope you’ll join us for this special evening.
