Episodes will spotlight talented educators across the district
The Somerville Public Schools Communications Department is proud to announce the launch of a new district podcast, “Teach Me Something: An SPS Podcast.”
The podcast highlights the voices of educators from across the district who bring fresh, thoughtful, and unique perspectives to teaching and learning. Each episode features in-depth conversations with teachers from a variety of backgrounds who share personal stories about their journey into education, their classroom experiences, and the lessons they have learned along the way.
The first two episodes feature first-grade teacher Jen Leary, who shares her journey from the medical field to the classroom, reflects on the magic of teaching children to read, and describes how her classroom at the John F. Kennedy School celebrates multiple cultures. The second episode highlights kindergarten instructor Melissa Jouvelakas of the Albert F. Argenziano School, a Somerville native who returned to teach in the same district where she was once a student.
New episodes will be released monthly during the school year, available both on Spotify and on the Somerville Public Schools website.
