Visit Somerville’s Annual Maple Boil Down today

The Growing Center is once again happy to announce that their Maple Boil will take place Saturday, March 7.

Join the Growing Center for the Maple Boil down and experience the process of sap being changed into maple syrup. Witness first-hand the boiling of sap collected from maple trees on the Tufts campus in partnership with an Environmental Field Studies class, learn the process and history of sugaring, how you can support urban trees and connect outdoors with other folks in the community. Free and open to all. Event sponsored by Barrett Tree Service East, Inc.

This event plays a critical role in supporting the Growing Center’s  mission to engage the full population of Somerville while providing a welcoming space for community interactions, environmental education and awareness, engagement with nature and culturally enriching experiences. Together, Cultivate, Belong.
