The blizzard of 2011 was tough but two arts groups made the most of piles of snow as the Somerville Arts Council and Artisans Asylum organized a Snow Art Flash Mob in Union Square Saturday.

The event drew dozens of snow fort enthusiasts for an afternoon of epic snowball fights (complete with multiple fronts for battle), music and free Mexican hot chocolate.
