It was announced on Saturday that Joe Biden has received enough electoral votes to be declared the winner in the 2020 presidential race.

Pennsylvania’s announcement that Biden secured the state’s 20 electoral votes sent the former Vice-President past the 270 total votes necessary to earn the win. Later in the day, the state of Nevada announced that their electoral votes were also given to Biden.

California Sen. Kamala Harris will become the first woman – as well as the first Black/Indian-American woman – to assume the role of Vice President.

In spite of the electoral vote victory, the current administration has signaled that it will continue its legal challenges to the voting process, even though most experts agree that such measures are likely to be unsuccessful.

Celebrations by Biden/Harris supporters are pouring out across the streets of America at this hour.
