Somerville has often been referred to as the “City of Seven Hills.” A more accurate description would be the city of fourteen elevations with twenty-eight different names. Taco Bell run goes terribly wrong

Police officers were dispatched to a Packard Ave. location last week on reports of a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, the officers were informed by Tufts police that they had detained the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash, Ali Penniman, of Lexington.

Somerville’s 2016 Cinco de Mayo

Somerville Arts Council provided a family friendly Cinco de Mayo celebration last Thursday in Union Square. There was Mariachi music, dancers, piñatas and kids activities. From 8:00 – 10:00 p.m.  you could visit the local Union Square restaurants to dance the night away.

All buildings affected by this morning’s events on the Medford/Somerville campus have been cleared by law enforcement, and the campus is returning to limited operations for the remainder of the day, Monday, May 9. Students, faculty, and staff are free to move about campus. For the peace of mind of the community and due to the ongoing investigation, there will be an enhanced police presence for the remainder of the day.
