Cedar St. / Highland Ave. Intersection to Close for Approximately 3 Weeks for Construction. Closure to be in place 7 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Beginning on Monday, April 2, and lasting for approximately three weeks, City contractors will conduct work at the intersection of Cedar St. and Highland Ave. that will require the full closure of the intersection from 7 a.m. to approximately 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The construction is an important part of the ongoing Cedar St. Water & Sewer project.

Oscar Lopez, of 51 Marshall St., Fl. 3, March 20, 6:12 p.m., arrested at Fellsway West on charges of distribution of a class D drug, possession to sell electric stun gun, and drug possession to distribute.

William Pires, of 64 Derby St., March 20, 6:12 p.m., arrested at Fellsway West on charges of distribution of a class D drug, possession to sell electric stun gun, and drug possession to distribute.

A public information session regarding the temporary closure of Conway field and playground will be held on Thursday, March 29, at the Public Safety Building (Police Headquarters) on 220 Washington St. The consultants in charge of soil testing and city staff will be on hand to discuss the testing results and next steps as well as to answer questions.

The New Era of New England (NEONE – pronounced “anyone”) has announced the lineup for its highly anticipated third installment of The Pull Up. After a brief hiatus, #ThePullUpNE recruited a plethora of New England based talents, headlined by Latrell James, to mark its return. Happening on Friday March 30, at ONCE Ballroom in Somerville, #ThePullUpNE doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with an advanced cover charge of $15.

After roughly four years at Ryles Jazz Club, the Kate’s Café LGBT dinner is planning to relocate.

But the monthly dinner party for LGBT elders isn’t going far – it’s actually just moving across the street to the S&S Restaurant in Cambridge, explained Café Coordinator Melissa Bryant.

Francis Domec was a Medford-based artist whose artwork explored elements of transformation. Playing with lines and figures by means of drawings and collages, Domec used all types of mediums to create something new and intriguing.

The Somerville Arts Council and Somerville Media Center present an ArtsUnion and Cinema Somerville Short Film Fest on Saturday, May 19th from 8:00-9:30pm held in Union Square plaza or indoors at SMC (in case of inclement weather). Somerville High School alumni tours, organized by the Somerville Teachers Association, will take place on Saturday, March 24. Take this opportunity to go through the old high school building before it goes away.
