A lot can happen in 7 days and we have been feeling the love! Last Friday we created an urgent appeal to mitigate losses as a result of postponing our gala, you have helped raise a staggering $79,000.

“We were very concerned a week ago that we weren’t going to be able to keep our services open because of our fundraising deficit; a week later and we are overwhelmed by your response. While we know this is just the beginning of the need for our services and resources, it is relief to know that we have a community that has our back!”

What we have achieved with YOUR HELP this week:

Played, fed and provided educational resources to 5 families with 8 children at our family shelter
Moved a family of 3 into our family shelter
Provided 24 hour shelter and support for 16 homeless adults
Provided food and supplies to over 20 street homeless in Arlington and Somerville
Kept our community meal open and provided food in take out containers to 28 of our guests
Provided a bag of groceries, fresh produce and meat for 145 clients, 42 whom we saw for the first time
Kept our main office open 9-5pm, accepted calls and handed out emergency food parcels
