Last Wednesday, October 30, Somerville residents were invited to a community meeting to talk about historic Foss Park. The meeting was held in the cafeteria of the Arthur D. Healey School from 6:30 p.m.

Residents got to learn more about the park and also voiced their opinions on what they like about the park currently and what they would like to see improved to four different discussion groups, athletic fields and courts, playground and pool, climate and natural environment, and access and safety.

The main issues people discussed was the location of the park, parking, and the amount of trees that will be there.

Residents also got to enjoy delicious Pizza from Pini’s Pizzeria while in attendance at the meeting.

For those who missed this meeting, there will be another Foss Park Community Meeting where specific plans are expected to be presented next Wednesday, November 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the East Somerville Community School, 50 Cross St.
