Update from the Somerville Police Department:

On Friday, September 7, members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit with assistance from the Somerville Police Department and Massachusetts State Police arrested Lorne Harrison, 53, of Mattapan, on a warrant for Armed Robbery and other violations. Somerville Police have confirmed that Harrison is the suspect being sought this week following an armed robbery of Kay Jewelers at Assembly Row in Somerville on August 30, 2018. Harrison will be arraigned in U.S. Federal Court.

On Thursday, August 30, at 2:24 p.m., Kay Jewelers at Assembly Row was robbed by a white (tanned) male or light skinned Hispanic male. The suspect entered the store and handed a shopping bag to the manager, and told him to “Fill it!” The suspect displayed what appeared to be a 1911 .45 caliber style firearm. He exited the store at 2:27 p.m., ran left out of the store, took a right at Lego Land Discovery Center, and then left in to the parking garage. Video shows the suspect enter the Orange Line and leaving Somerville. The suspect is believed the same individual who committed an armed robbery at the Shaw’s at Twin City last week. I have attached three of the best photos that have at the moment. The store estimated that $30,000 in watches was taken.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Somerville Police by calling 617-625-1212, or texting a tip to TIP411 with “617spd” at the beginning of the message.
