The annual Spring Cleanup and Community Barbecue took place on Saturday, April 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

All participants were invited to meet at the Blessing of the Bay Boat House on Shore Drive, at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast with local elected officials and coffee before setting out to help clean up their respective wards.

After the Cleanup, a free community BBQ will take place at the Boat House.

Residents were invited to join Ward Captains and city officials in each of the city’s seven wards to help prepare the city for the spring and summer by planting flowers, weeding open spaces, and otherwise cleaning our community following the long winter months.

Refreshments, t-shirts, and hats were provided to all participants and they were invited to the community barbecue immediately following the cleanup.
