Body recovered from Mystic River identified as Kenneth Manning

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan has confirmed that the body of a deceased adult male recovered last night from the Mystic River has been positively identified as Kenneth Manning, 35, of Malden.

Last night at approximately 6:30 p.m. a passerby reported seeing the body of a deceased male in the Mystic River near the intersection of Shore Drive and Ten Hills Road in Somerville. The body appeared to have been in the water for an extended period of time.

District Attorney Ryan and Malden Chief of Police Kevin Molis previously identified Manning as the suspect in the murder of Colleen Russell, 36, of Malden and a  larceny of a motor vehicle. An arrest warrant was issued for Manning on February 18, 2016. He was last seen on February 16, 2016 in Somerville.
