The City of Somerville Board of Aldermen issued a citation of commendation to retiring Somerville firefighter James Nolan during their regular meeting of February 11, 2016.

The citation reads as follows: “Be it hereby known to all that the Somerville Board of Aldermen and Mayor offer their sincerest commendations to James Nolan on the auspicious occasion of his retirement from the Somerville Fire Department after 36 years of distinguished service, first at Engine Seven, and then, since 1989, as a Lieutenant at Ladder Three. The Aldermen and the Mayor extend their best wishes for good health and a fulfilling retirement. Offered this 30th day of January, 2016.”

The citation was sponsored and approved by the entire Board, as well as Mayor Curtatone.
