Gone on vacation until the 20th of this month, Leone’s is closed and, as you can see here, they are sporting a new look on their menu board, replacing the old one with a new digital model, as well as replacing the old register. Lots of new things are happening at Leone’s, but one thing they won’t change is the quality of the best subs and pizza’s around.

This family owned tradition here in Somerville has been recognized by thousands over the years as the best. For as long as anyone in Winter Hill can remember, Leone’s has been around. A true neighborhood family run business that is still there.

The writer here has been going to Leone’s since the 60’s when in Junior High, where it was always packed after school would let out.

In a day when franchises are the current fad, we can be very lucky here to have many different sub shops and pizza places, but number one around here has to be Leone’s.

If you are new to Somerville and want to see what the locals recognize as the best, drop by and say “Hi” to Nick and Vic and the family. You can’t miss the place, it has a huge sign out front on Broadway in Winter Hill.

Oh, and by the way, they also cater. Gee you’d think this was an ad or something, but it’s not. It’s an endorsement for the best and number one here in The Somerville Times’ book.
