Somerville Police Crime Log November 15 – 21

Armed Robbery
 On 11/18/22 at approximately 5:32 p.m., officers took a report from a victim who stated he was involved in a road rage incident on Route 93. The victim described the suspect as a heavyset female. Both the victim and suspect then pulled into the parking lot of 145 Middlesex Ave. where they confronted each other. The suspect then pulled out a metal bar from her trunk and began tapping it at the victim’s feet. She then grabbed the victim’s wallet and fled in her vehicle.
 

Residential Breaking and Entering
On 11/19/22 at approximately 3:59 p.m., Somerville Police responded to a multifamily residence on Beacon St. for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated someone forced entry into his garage and stole a pair of sneakers.
 
Attempted Commercial Breaking and Entering
On 11/19/22 at approximately 1:32 a.m., Somerville Police responded to a business in the area of Broadway and Marshall St. for report of a suspicious person in a nearby alley way. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party who stated he observed a male messing with the door of the business. No entry was made.
 
Arrest
On 11/19/22 at approximately 11:21 p.m., Somerville Police responded to 449 Canal St. for report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers observed a male victim bleeding and suffering multiple injuries to his face and hand. The victim stated he was struck with a shovel by another male party who fled in his car prior to police arrival. Officers located the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a stop. The suspect was then placed under arrest.
