Obituary: Peter F. White

Peter F. White, Somerville – Beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, Peter F. White “Frannie”, 87 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8th in his home in Stuart, Florida.

Peter was born on November 19, 1934, in Somerville son of William and Mary Ann (Flaherty) White. He grew up in Somerville with a large Irish Catholic family that he loved and then raised his own family there as well.

Peter was a proud Army veteran and later served as a firefighter for Somerville Fire Department, retiring as a Lieutenant after 28 years of service.

Pete was a fun-loving guy always making people smile and laugh and easy to talk to. He loved spending time with his family, enjoyed golf, and boating.

He is survived by his children John White and his wife Janine, Carrie (White) Roach and her husband Harold and Brenda (White) Baron and her husband Kevin.  His 8 grandchildren Kyle White, Taylor White, Sean White, Leanna O’Connell, Justina Hughes, Jessica Hughes, Kaitlyn Baron and Matthew Baron and 3 great grandchildren.

His sister Elizabeth Jaffe, Patricia Morrisey and his brother Kevin White, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his sister Marion Ernst, Eileen White-Finley, William White, Claire Feener, and Virginia Downey.

A private Memorial Service will follow at a later date.
