The annual Healey School apple-picking field trip was cancelled because of the pandemic, but Principal Cobbs alerted teachers, families, and students that helpers planned to bring the orchard to the Healey School community instead. Thanks to a generous donation from a Healey family, each Healey School prekindergarten through grade 4 student received a fall treat bag this week.

Over three days of staggered pickup times, and from a safe social distance on the back lot, adult helpers distributed hundreds of apples, apple cider, snacks, and plump orange pumpkins to Healey students. A big thanks to the family who donated the treats as well as to Mrs. Baxter and her band of hardworking volunteers for keeping this fall harvest tradition alive and bringing a bit of joy to the students.
