A man arrested on an outstanding warrant was hit with new charges as he was being booked after police found pills in his socks, police said.

Kenneth McAuley, 49, of 49 Marshall St., Nov. 6, 4:14 p.m., was arrested and charged with possession of a class C drug and warrant charges on Nov. 6. Police spotted him on Medford Street and stopped him in connection with warrants for shoplifting and larceny over $250.

After he was booked, police asked him to remove his boots and found four small white pills  believed to be Klonodin and one large white pill believed to be Klonopin, police said.
