Well over 130 local Masons from Somerville joined together for a night of fun and enjoyment at Giggles Comedy Club in Saugus last Wednesday evening.

The club surprised everyone with two local comedians, Tony V and Lenny Clarke, who along with one other made the entire night a fun affair. Lots of local members of the fraternity and their families and friends had a great time.

Somerville has hundreds of Freemasons, and the local lodge at 125 Highland Avenue (rear), which is King Solomon’s Lodge AF & AM, was chartered in 1783. They owned and built the original Bunker Hill Monument.

Freemasonry is on the rise in America and here in Massachusetts. Thousands of younger millennials have inquired and joined the ranks of membership. Freemasonry is a charitable fraternity, involved in local and state charities, such as the Shriners, Eye Foundation, local schools with the Angel fund, the Dare program, the CHIP program and many other charities. If you would like to find out what Freemasonry is all about you can go to Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts website, https://massfreemasonry.org/  The local lodge site is under construction. If you would like more information directly and get a private tour, contact Bruce Rollins at 617-347-1352.
