Two sessions planned for April 12, 19 to discuss locations and guidelines for new local regulations.

Join the City of Somerville’s Planning Department to discuss how recreational marijuana establishments might be permitted in Somerville. The city is currently studying how to best implement the new Massachusetts state laws around recreational marijuana that were established on the 2016 ballot. The city will host two public discussions as follows:

·         Thursday, April 12, 6:30 p.m.: Public Safety Building, 220 Washington St.

·         Thursday, April 19, 6:30 p.m.: Lowell Street VNA, 259 Lowell St.

Each meeting will begin with a presentation reviewing the laws and a status update on existing medical marijuana dispensaries in Somerville, followed by a discussion that will help us create new city policy on recreational marijuana sales. We need your feedback and hope to see you there.
