District Attorney Marian Ryan announces Grand Jury indictments

These indictments were handed down between November 21, 2017 and January 16, 2018. Defendants  listed here have alleged offenses that occured in Somerville.  These charges are allegations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

 Somerville

Joshua Bohrer, 37, of Somerville, was charged with rape (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Kleimola.

Raulison Desouza, 40, of Everett, was charged with assault to murder and burning personal property. The Assistant District Attorney is Kate Hartigan.

Tony Harris, 28, of Everett, was charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, and being an armed career criminal (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Nicole Allain.

Derrik Pannesi, 23, of Medford, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A substance, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of a large capacity weapon (2 counts), possession of a firearm without a license, improper storage of a firearm where a person under the age of 18 has access, and being an armed career criminal (3 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Radu Brestyan.

Jose Pena, 24, of Lowell, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (2 counts), subsequent offense, conspiracy to violate the drug laws (2 counts), and violating the drug laws near a school/park. The Assistant District Attorney is Matthew Bailey.

Manuel Perez, 42, of Providence, Rhode Island, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (2 counts) and conspiracy to violate the drug laws (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Matthew Bailey.

Curtis Preston, 27, of Everett, was charged with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, distribution of fentanyl, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of ammunition without a license, violating the drug laws near a park (2 counts), and being an armed career criminal (2 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Whitney Williams.

Leonardo Silva, 18, of Everett, was charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14 (3 counts). The Assistant District Attorney is Marisa Tagliareni.

Zachary Wackman, 27, of Somerville, was charged with rape. The Assistant District Attorney is Ceara Mahoney.
