Library home delivery service available for Somerville residents

On January 10, 2018, in Latest News, by The Somerville Times

If you are a Somerville resident but cannot come to the Library because of a physical disability, they will come to you. They will bring books, videos, magazines, or printouts, or whatever materials they normally loan out. Materials are loaned on a special-services card for six weeks and can be renewed.

This service is available for free to Somerville residents. Call the Central Library at 617-623-5000, ask for the Reference Department, tell them you need Community Services assistance, and let the librarian know what you’re interested in reading, watching, or listening to.

You can also contact Phil Peck at ppeck@minlib.net or call 617-623-5000 ext. 2944 to inquire about this service.

Thank you Somerville. What a great idea. There are definitely those who I know of who will benefit greatly from this service.
