A man in a burning car was pulled to safety by passing Woburn cops on a Somerville stretch of Route 93, State Police said.

The man, in a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer, was pulled from the car at 5:15 p.m. The fire and rescue efforts caused back-ups on the highway.
