Retirement kickoff for Sal

On September 20, 2017, in Latest News, by The Somerville Times

Long time Somerville resident and businessman Sal Ferro is heading into retirement. Ferro started off with a part time printing business in 1967 with a tabletop letterpress, in his home. A lot of his printing at the beginning started off with wedding invitations using the slogan “Brides are our business, our only business.”

Since then he has raised five children in Somerville, with his wife Claudia by his side. He worked a few other jobs and turned the printing business into a full time profession. Over the years he has done the printing for many businesses, restaurants, stores, bakeries, lawyers, etc., in and around Somerville. Ferro Printing was also a member of the Somerville Chamber of Commerce.

On Saturday, September 9, Ferro’s family surprised him with a retirement party at the Neighborhood restaurant in Union Square. Stephen Mackey of the Somerville Chamber of Commerce was there and presented him with a mantle clock from the Chamber of Commerce.
