A Somerville woman will have to look elsewhere for romance after a Bedford man she was on a date with on Sept. 20 was arrested outside her apartment for a bizarre reaction to a kiss on the cheek.

Christopher Stone, 22, of 4 Fawn Circle, Bedford, allegedly shouted, “Resist the urge! Resist the urge! Resist domestic violence!” after the woman kissed him. Stone had asked for the kiss, police said.

Stone initially refused to leave the apartment, police said. When officers arrived, he was outside the apartment screaming racial slurs, police said. He took off his hat and sunglasses and threw them at officers, police said. He spit at officers and kicked one in the chest, police said.

Stone was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
