This past Saturday, Daniel Spinosa of Winter Hill, lifelong Somerville resident, World War II veteran, businessman and political figure, celebrated his 95 years of devotion to his country and city.

Surrounded by his many family members and old friends, a party was held at his home. Alderman At-Large William A. White Jr., a long time friend, presented Spinosa with a plaque recognizing his years of service to the community.

Throughout the afternoon many friends, including Mayor Joe Curtatone, Alderman At-Large Jack Connolly and Alderman At-Large Dennis Sullivan dropped in to congratulate Spinosa.

Danny is just one of those guys who, when you meet him, is always smiling and never has a bad word to say about anyone. Maybe that’s his secret for living 95 years. Even his lady friend came up from Florida to help celebrate.
