The City of Somerville forms a partnership with the Concussion Legacy Foundation to help prevent youth concussions.

    This is interesting. The City of Somerville fully supports the Somerville Boxing Club, providing space for them in one of our schools. I’m not against the club, but the city can’t have it both ways. Are we to believe that concussions come only from football? What about soccer? If you’ve read anything about what happens to your brain when you ‘head’ a soccer ball travelling toward you at great speed, you’d be more afraid of soccer than of football. At least in football they wear helmets.
