Police were dispatched to the Home Depot store area on Sunday, following reports of a loss prevention employee following two men suspected of larceny from the store.

Upon arrival, the officers were met by the store employee who pointed out the two suspects as they made their way across a path that passed underneath I93.

The officers called out to the men and requested that they come to them for questioning.

The officers reportedly observed one of the men stop and pick up what appeared to be a smart phone from the ground as they were walking towards them.

According to reports, the store employee told the officers that the two men had been in the store, returning a door lock for which they had no receipt.

The store employee reportedly observed one of the men, Kenneth Happas, pick up a smart phone that was lying on the counter and then leave with it.

The stolen phone was the property of another store employee, police said.

The officers retrieved the phone and the victim confirmed that it was the one that was taken.

Happas was placed under arrest and charged with larceny over $250. According to reports, he admitted to taking the phone, which was valued at approximately $265.
