We applaud the Somerville Police Department’s collaboration with the Center for Teen Empowerment in implementing their “Walking Dialogues” program.

Police, youth and community members are invited to join in a series of and community social events. There will be multiple locations to share your thoughts and identify concerns for action.

This event brings law enforcement officers and teens together to dialogue and find common ground while fostering mutual respect.

As a reminder, future meeting are scheduled for:

Tuesday, July 19 at Dickerman Playground, Ward 3.

Tuesday, July 26 at Trum Field, Ward 5.

Tuesday, August 23 at Brown School, Ward 6.

Social events are also scheduled and include food and entertainment for residents:

Saturday, July 16 at Claredon Hill Towers BBQ, Ward 7 (1-3 p.m.).

Wednesday, August 3rd at Clarendon Hill Development, Ward 7 (4-6 p.m.).

Saturday, August 16th at Mystic Development, Ward 4 (4-6 p.m.).
