Parking Restrictions Near Trum Field for Tonight’s Fireworks

Live entertainment at Trum Field will begin at 6 p.m. and will include performances by the 215th Army Band, local Disco-Funk band Booty Vortex, the USO Metropolitan New York Performers, and the Somerville Sunsetters, leading up to a 30-minute fireworks display at approximately 9:15 p.m.

The following street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect on Thursday evening:

Broadway from Medford St. to Boston Ave.
Cedar St. from Morrison Ave. to Broadway
Franey Rd. and Charles E. Ryan Rd.

MBTA Bus service on Routes 80 and 89 will be rerouted from 5 p.m. to midnight. For full reroute information, visit www.mbta.com.

For public safety reasons, dogs will be restricted from the event area, and we advise that attendees not bring unnecessary bags or backpacks. All bags and backpacks are subject to search.

No Parking at Trum Field 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Ball Square to Magoun Sq.: No Parking 4 p.m. to midnight; street closed 5 p.m. to midnight.

Cedar St.

Morrison Ave. to the Bridge: No Parking 8 a.m. to midnight; traffic restricted to residents only 4 to 6 p.m.; street closed after 6 p.m.
Bridge to Broadway: No Parking 8 a.m. to midnight; traffic restricted to residents only 4 to 6 p.m. (from Morrison Ave. only); street closed 6 p.m. to midnight.

Franey Rd.: No Parking 4 p.m. to midnight; street closed 4 p.m. to midnight.

Charles E. Ryan Rd.: No parking 8 a.m. to midnight; access restricted to residents 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; street closed 6 p.m. to midnight.

Due to the large crowds and loud noise associated with the Fireworks Celebration, the City recommends that attendees leave pets at home and not bring unnecessary bags or backpacks.
