Brickbottom Artists’ Building will host its 28th annual Open Studios—one of the oldest open studio events in Somerville—on November 21 & 22, 2015, 12-6pm each day. Over 60 artists will open their live-work studios to the public, showing and selling work in a wide variety of media and formats. A block away, the 50+ artists of Joy Street Studios will open their doors as well, many offering demonstrations of their methods and working techniques.

Art in every dimension
2D, 3D, virtual, experiential—it’s all here, on and off the wall: pop-up performances, installations in the stairwells and courtyard, video screenings in the hallways, our own programming on the radio, and Mood Elevators all await lucky visitors to Brickbottom!

Meet and support local artists
Our Open Studios event is a great opportunity to talk with real working artists and to start or grow an art collection—there are works of all kinds for sale, in every price range.

Come exhibit with us
No money? No problem—this year Brickbottom will host the 4th annual Reciprocity Stream open photo show, an event in which every visitor is invited to take a photo home with them for free as long as they leave a photo of their own in its place.

Plus snacks!
Somerville’s The Biscuit (at Washington and Beacon Streets, diagonally across from Dali) sets up a pastry and coffee bar in the Brickbottom lobby—need we say more?

All Ages, All Access
Open Studios and all related entertainment are free to attend; art to go, and snacks, available for purchase! Brickbottom is wheelchair accessible. We are a 10-minute walk from Lechmere Green Line T Station, and there’s ample free street parking on Chestnut and Linwood Streets.
