Somerville Street Sweeping Resumes April 1

street sweeperThe street sweeping parking enforcement season resumes tonight at midnight, the beginning of Wednesday, April 1, and residents are reminded that they must adhere to posted schedules, and move vehicles to the appropriate side of the road on sweeping days. Street sweeping schedules are posted on signs on every street that is swept in Somerville. Failure to comply with street sweeping parking regulations will result in a $50 fine.

Residents may also sign up to receive e-mail reminders about street sweeping schedules for the streets of their choice by visiting www.somervillema.gov/sweeper.

Street sweeping is an essential public works activity that not only keeps the city looking cleaner but reduces the risk of flooding and icing due to catch-basin clogging and storm drain backup. For additional information, please call 311 (or 617-666-3311).
