The City of Somerville’s award-winning Food and Nutrition Services Department will be providing free breakfasts and lunches to area youth under the age of 19 through August 22, 2014.

The federally funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is pitching in to help make sure that Somerville’s kids are well fed throughout the summer months. Just look for the Food and Nutrion truck to get your free meal.

Visit the following Somerville parks for breakfast: Foss Park/Pool: 9:45-10 a.m., Mondays through Fridays, and KidStop @ Powderhouse Park: 9-9:15 a.m., Mondays through Thursdays.

Free lunch is served daily (Monday-Friday) at the following locations: Grimmons Park: 10:15-10:30 a.m.; Bayshore Drive – Boat House: 10:40-10:55 a.m.; Walnut Street Park: 10:40-10:55 a.m.; Mystic Housing & Playground: 11:00-11:15 a.m.; Lexington Park: 11:05-11:20 a.m.; Foss Park/Pool: 11:25-11:40 a.m.; Dilboy Pool: 11:30-11:45 a.m.; North Street Playground: 11:35-11:50 a.m.
