It’s another holiday season. Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and some people expect a nice family reunion in their hometowns. This year, a community sing-along led by Ben Lovenheim will be held in Somerville.

On Saturday, Nov.23, Somerville residents can join Ben to celebrate and explore some of the often ignored aspects of the holiday and its territory. Don’t worry if you don’t have Frank Sinatra’s voice or Bob Dylan’s multi-instruments skills. Only your interest and enthusiasm is needed to share this great holiday in the community.

Song-leading activity breaks the traditional performance/audience relationship and brings the singer off the stage to interact with the audience. Ben will also orally teach the participants songs to sing together. Singing is a means to explore passion in the community.

The sing-along starts at 7:30 p.m. at Third Life Studio, 33 Union Square, Somerville. The entrance fee is $10 per person.
