The Somerville Public Library and Tufts University’s Leonard Carmichael Society are partnering to offer free homework help to Somerville teens. Students needing assistance with math or science assignments can meet with Tufts University student tutors every Monday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Library’s Teen Room, at 79 Highland Ave. The program is free for all participating students.     The Leonard Carmichael Society at Tufts has done this for years. I know several students who benefited greatly from it. It is a wonderful service the group does for the community and it’s a shame more people don’t know about it. I have told many parents in need to contact them.

    Funny how this appears not long after Tufts gloms up the Powder House Community School…
