‘Walkable Cities’ Book Discussion

Join the City of Somerville, WalkBoston, and author Jeff Speck for a book discussion of Speck’s latest work, “Walkable City:  How Downtown Can Save America, One Step at a Time” on Thursday, November 29 at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square beginning at 6:30pm.  The event is free and open to the public.

Jeff Speck, currently a consultant for the City of Somerville in its Somerville by Design station area planning event, has worked as a consultant planner for the past decade, helping cities focus on issues related to making communites more walkable, and therefore more liveable.  “Walkable City” discusses strategies to make communities more walkable, and why walkable cities are important to creating great communities.
